Chicken Bake

A HERITAGE WE CAN BE PROUD OF...

This dish is a combination of chicken, potatoes, garlic and onions. These are ingredients which have been widely prepared in the Middle East for centuries.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 Chicken pieces

  • 1 Packet Frozen Mixed Veg

  • ½ Onion, diced

  • 1 Potato

  • 1 Tbsp Garlic

  • 2 Cups Hot water

  • 1 IMANA Cream Of Chicken Flavoured Soup

  • Thyme

  • Salt

  • Oil

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

  2. Add a dash of oil to a pan and warm over medium heat.

  3. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Add garlic and stir until fragrant.

  4. Cut the chicken into bite sized pieces before adding them to the pan. Brown the chicken on all sides but do not fully cook (they will finish cooking in the oven). Turn off the heat.

  5. In a bowl, add the IMANA Cream Of Chicken Flavoured Soup powder to the hot water and stir until combined. Pour the soup into the pan with the chicken.

  6. Add the mixed veg to the pan and mix until combined with the chicken and soup mix. Season with salt according to your preference.

  7. Pour mix into a baking dish and set to one side.

  8. Thinly slice the potato and place on top of the mix into the baking dish. The potato slices should overlap slightly.

  9. Drizzle some oil over the top of the potato slices and sprinkle with thyme.

  10. Pop the baking dish into the oven and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  11. Serve and enjoy!
