A HERITAGE WE CAN BE PROUD OF...
The Chicken and Cheese Quiche draws inspiration from classic French baking, where rich, flaky pastry meets a creamy, savoury custard. Combining tender chicken with a blend of cheeses, this quiche celebrates the harmony of hearty protein and indulgent flavour. Perfectly baked to golden perfection, it’s a timeless dish that brings comfort, sophistication, and a touch of elegance to any table - ideal for brunch, lunch, or a light dinner.

INGREDIENTS:
1 sheet Shortcrust Pastry (enough to line a tart/quiche tin)
1 Onion, Finely chopped
1 cup Cooked Chicken, shredded
3 Eggs
½ cup Milk
½ cup Cream
1 Tbsp IMANA Savoury Paste
Salt and Pepper for seasoning
12 Sprigs of Thyme, picked
200g Grated Cheddar Cheese or Mozzarella
METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Line a 23 - 25 cm quiche tin with the pastry and prick the base with a fork.
In a medium pan, sauté the onion until soft. Add the chicken and cook for 1 - 2 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, and IMANA Savoury Paste. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
Spread the chicken and sautéed onion evenly over the pastry base. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
Pour the egg and cream mixture over the filling, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 - 40 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden on top.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Serve with a side salad or as a snack.
